Sculpture

The female, in paintings, from the height of the Renaissance, has been my inspiration for years.

As a sculptor, the female figure, with all its' soft curves, has held so many artistic possibilities. Using the medium of clay has allowed me to evolve from long graceful, sweeping lines to more solid, yet elliptical, curves to benefit a design concept .

I don't come by my pieces from having a pure likeness from a model. My pieces are just references from life that I try to redefine in a more artistic way. Or, they come from ideas that are formed from a living figure in motion.
